the russell house bed and breakfast
south bend , wa

this gracious home was built in 1891 by john russell, a scottish furniture maker turned architect/builder of waterworks and water-systems, including those in tacoma, who came to south bend by way of chicago. he built this lovely home, in part, as a 25th wedding anniversary gift to his wife annie.
